The Boom & Spark! Fourth of July Fireworks STEM Kit is a complete, everything-included activity kit that brings together chemistry, life science, and American history in a single hands-on experience — designed specifically for little scientists ages 3–6.

Students create their own fireworks show using real chromatography science: pressing washable markers onto coffee filters, then “launching” them with a spray of water and watching the colors burst outward just like a real firework exploding in the sky. Hidden colors emerge. New colors appear from mixing. Every filter is one-of-a-kind. Then they add a pinch of glitter for sparkle, arrange their fireworks on a display board, and record their discoveries in a science journal built right into the kit guide.

Every element of this kit is intentional: the colors are patriotic, the science is real, and the history connects little learners to the story of a tradition that’s been lighting up America’s skies for nearly 250 years.
